Ms. Misty is a certified teacher at Seaview Elementary School. She holds a Washington State teaching license and earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Washington. During her undergraduate studies, she also majored in Piano Performance under professors Michael Brockman and Rhonda Kline, and has over 25 years of experience as a pianist.
With 8+ years of teaching experience in both China and the U.S., Misty is known for blending structured educational practices with creative artistic expression. Her background in music and education allows her to design engaging, personalized lessons that support students’ academic, emotional, and artistic growth.
Misty teaches in both English and Mandarin, and is recognized for her warm, thoughtful, and organized approach. At Brightwood Camp, she brings music, movement, and storytelling into each day—helping every child grow with confidence and joy.
Kaili is a certified teacher at The Bush School and a graduate of the University of Washington’s College of Education, where she earned her Master in Teaching. She holds teaching credentials both in Washington State and in China.
Coming from a family of educators, Kaili has a strong foundation in teaching philosophy and practice. Her academic training—at both the undergraduate and graduate levels—has shaped her into a thoughtful, reflective, and highly skilled educator.
With years of experience teaching in both public and private K–12 schools across the U.S., Kaili specializes in learning by doing. She creates engaging, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and help students enjoy the learning process. Her classrooms are full of energy, creativity, and meaningful participation.
Kaili has also served as a guest teacher for the College Board, where she shared Chinese language and culture with fellow educators.
